Using CASA
Users wishing to calibrate and image their data beyond the SDP pipeline outputs, or after the data has been restaged from tape, can make use of CASA-based reduction and imaging recipes provided in the cookbooks below.
CASA
The Common Astronomy Software Applications (CASA) software package provide common tools for reduction and analysis of radio astronomical data. It can be downloaded from https://casa.nrao.edu/
The MeerKAT cookbook
The MeerKAT Cookbook provides recipes for interacting and processing MeerKAT data with CASA in Jupyter notebook format.
ARIWS cookbook
The African Radio Interferometry Winter School (ARIWS) Cookbook provides similar recipes to the MeerKAT cookbook but with more information and step-by-step guideline suitable for students or those learning to process radio interferometric data.
Additional training materials and lectures from the winter school are available on the SARAO e-learning portal.
