We advise that transient observers always offset their pointing centre by at least one (synthesised) beamwidth from their target/candidate coordinate. This particular error is not the only thing that can cause spurious sources to be produced at the phase centre. |
Unfortunately we do not currently have any procedures that will flag this, so the SDP pipeline images may be affected.
